Technical systems are of increasing importance in the security aspects of a building. The protection of property, as well as the safeguarding of people's health and safety, can be effectively managed by such plant systems that solve previously “unanswered” problems. The achievement of important goals must, however, always refer to the use of “active” protection systems (systems that presuppose human action and its constant supervision). The presentation intends to expose through some concrete cases, focused on the hospitality and water sector, the importance of safety not as a final option of a building but as a constant attention that starts from the design.
