The seminar presents the impact of sport tourism and major sport events in the growth of a destination. Managers of leading sport tourism destinations, entrepreneurs in the sport tourism sector, promoters of major sport events will share their know-how on the development of Sport Tourism between Experiences and Events.
The results of a survey to sport users about their choice of travel will be presented where behaviours were investigated with respect to the sports discipline practiced, activity level, motivation, various factors that influence the choice of a destination, period, typical length of stay. The survey will show buyer personas of sports tourists according to their passion including running, cycling, triathlon, swimming, and winter sports.
