After lengthy and complex negotiations, on 22 July the Confesercenti tourism associations (Assoturismo, Fiepet, Assohotel, Assoviaggi, Assocamping, Fiba) signed a hypothesis of agreement with the trade unions Filcams-Cgil, Fisascat-Cisl and Uiltucs for the renewal of the national contract for employees of tourism companies, a sector that employs more than 1.2 million workers.
The hypothesis of the agreement covers the entire tourism sector, including public establishments, bathing establishments, hotels, campsites and travel agencies.
During the convention the new features of the renewal will be illustrated: strengthening of contractual welfare, in particular Supplementary Health Care; on the regulatory level there are many new features contained in this renewal hypothesis: from the strengthening of fixed-term contracts for hotels and campsites, for major events, to equal opportunities, gender violence and parenting.
