Former full professor University of Florence

A former full professor at the University of Florence, where he now teaches “Coastal Dynamics and Defense,” he is the author of about 300 scientific articles and 15 books on issues related to coastal zone management. He has coordinated numerous national and international research projects on issues related to integrated coastal zone management. He has served as chairman of the National Group for Research on the Coastal Environment and is editor of the journal “Coastal Studies.”
