GIST FOOD AWARD 2024

The Seventh edition of the Food Travel Award will take place on October 10th, 2024 at TTG Rimini. As last year, this 2024 edition will be under the banner of sustainability. nay of the different interpretations of sustainability.

Because "sustainable" is a very cool word, but generic. At GIST's Travel Food Award, we want to understand in detail why a product or an event is sustainable. We want to reward people operating in the food and wine tourism field in a proper way, respecting the environment and products, creating a virtuous circle, involving both workers and territories.

Starting with avoiding any form of waste, because -as the great richness of Italian cuisine teaches us - almost anything can become a great recipe and anything can be good to eat, from snout to tail and from flower to root. This year jury’s President Elena Bianco decided to focus the theme on "Goodness of Food, Goodness of Purpose," referred to both, intentions and palate, as guidelines for quality food and wine tourism.

Sabrina Talarico, GIST President, and Elena Bianco, jury president together with the ten jury members, will award three national and international categories:

- Best food and wine destination

- Best food and wine enterprise or event

- The Special Award, upon recommendation of the Travel Food Award jury. It will be given to people, entities, associations, territories that have achieved deserving activity in the field of food and wine, thanks to their passion, skills, intellectual or artistic qualities, and technical knowledge.
