President of Confcommercio-Imprese for Italy
President of Confcommercio-Imprese for Italy since 2006, he was re-elected, by acclamation, also during the last elections in 2020. President of Confcommercio-Imprese for Italy Lombardy since 1996, he is also President of the Union Confcommercio-Imprese for Italy Milan, Lodi, Monza and Brianza, a position he has held since 1995. In addition to being President of Unioncamere from 2000 to 2006 and from 2018 to 2021, he held the position of Vice President of the Cariplo Foundation for over a decade (1998-2019). Member of the Chamber of Deputies from 1968 to 1992, he also held the position of Quaestor of the Chamber of Deputies (1987-1992) and that of Undersecretary of State for Tourism (1976-78). Former President of the Milan Chamber of Commerce, since 2017 he has been President of the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce of Milan Monza Brianza and Lodi.
