She is Professor and Director of the Master in Tourism & Hospitality Management at the University of Naples “Parthenope” (Italy). She teaches Management of Tourism Enterprises, International Service Management and Marketing. Scientific Coordinator of several Innovative Tourism Research Projects and Tourism Strategic Plans and Member of Scientific Advisory Boards in Tourism and Hospitality Innovation. Her current research focuses on tourism innovation, sustainability-oriented innovation, digital transformation, smart destination, museum innovation, augmented reality, virtual reality, extended reality, metaverse, destination management and governance, overtourism, sustainable development, cultural heritage and creativity. She was a has speaker during over 60 international and national conferences on these topics. She has extensively published over 100 papers in leading journals, monographs, book chapters and conference papers in these research areas. She received several international best papers awards.
